LG Display has raised the bar in the field of premium monitors. The Korean brand, known for its know-how in display technology, has begun mass production of a new 27-inch OLED panel that not only improves brightness, but also carries its new Primary RGB Tandem technology, designed to squeeze the most out of visual performance indoors and outdoors.
OLED panel with 1,500 nits and 280 Hz refresh rate
This panel achieves no less than 1500 nits of maximum brightness, a figure unheard of until now in OLED monitors of this size, and is combined with a refresh rate of 280 Hz. All thanks to an architecture based on four layers that combine the three primary colors independently. The result? More vivid colors, more pronounced contrasts and a performance in full light that surprises.
But that’s not where the story ends. LG Display has also developed an OLED display capable of reaching 540 Hz, a refresh rate that until recently was considered unattainable due to the technical limitations it entailed. And it doesn’t stop at the figure: this panel maintains image quality, something that used to plummet when exceeding 500 Hz. It achieves this thanks to a proprietary algorithm that manages frequency without sacrificing definition or clarity.
In addition to all this, a new technology, Dynamic Frequency & Resolution (DFR), allows you to reach up to 720 Hz in HD resolution, adapting the frequency to the type of content in real time.
In terms of accuracy, the panel achieves 99.5% color reproduction, ideal for creators who work with image and color in professional environments. And if we talk about reflections, the screen blocks 99% of internal and external reflections, maintaining a constant image quality even in rooms with a lot of light (up to 500 lux).
Another notable figure is the response time of 0.03 ms, something practically impossible in LCD, which rarely falls below a millisecond. This translates into a visual experience without traces or ghosting, even in fast-paced games.
LG Display plans to bring this 540Hz panel and QHD resolution to mass production in the second half of the year. And with all these figures on the table, it is clear that they are not playing: they are setting the pace.
